Get ready to become obsessed with this month’s #MyLKF spotlight – her fashion is always on point and she knows the best restaurants in town.
You probably know her better as @Furellie on Instagram, where she has over 50 thousand followers. Ellie’s feed has it all – food, travel, fashion, beauty, she’s pretty much our #WCA – Woman Crush Always. She’s got flawless style, excellent taste and a charming attitude that makes her feel like a friend, even if you only know her on the ‘gram.
When she’s not posting the most dream worthy meals and travel shots, Ellie works as a TV Programmer & Social Media Manager at National Geographic Asia. And she hangs out in Lan Kwai Fong, of course.
Read on to find out her favourite spots and stories about Hong Kong’s most notorious party district.
What was your first night out in LKF like? Do you remember it?
I do, although the memories are a bit blurry! I remember meeting friends for Ladies’ Night at 97 and being completely mesmerised by the “flaming lambo”. I also tried the Jell-O shots at Stormies, and at the end of the night, ate my first-ever poutine fries in a random shisha bar (now closed) in Wing Wah Lane.
What’s your favourite LKF memory?
Girls’ nights at Solas. We’d dress up, take shots, eat tacos at Socialiato (now closed), come up with ever-creative ways to dodge creepers, then have greasy Tsui Wah at the end of the night.

You’re always visiting Hong Kong’s top restaurants, what are some of your favourite in the LKF area?
I really love Braza Churrascaria for their all-you-can-eat Brazilian barbecue. Also, Silencio for one of the best wagyu katsu sando I’ve had in Hong Kong.
Where are your go-tos for a healthy lunch?
This makes me realise I’ve never really chosen a restaurant specifically for a healthy meal – but Beef & Liberty has a surprisingly great veg menu called Leaves & Liberty. Tons of delicious salads and health-conscious options.
What are the most exciting bars in Lan Kwai Fong? What do you get there?
I love Honi Honi’s tiki cocktail concept. The whole venue has this tropical vibe with cocktails to match, including a lethal shared concoction served in a hollowed-out watermelon, which is fun to order with friends. Can’t go wrong with their Piña Colada either.
When it comes to pampering, where do you like to go to spoil yourself?
Flawless! Just a few steps next to Play. Best lifting, deep cleaning and hydrating facials I’ve had in Hong Kong.

Describe your perfect night out in LKF?
My perfect night in LKF would start with a few drinks at Ozu, meatballs & vodka rigatoni dinner at Carbone, having a slice at Paisano’s and handmade momos from *that* secret momo restaurant. So basically, it all revolves around eating.
Are you more of a quiet night in girl or a wild night out, maybe something in between?
I definitely prefer a quiet night in, or a more intimate, wine-fuelled night out rather than a wild one. Those tequila shot days are way behind me!
If we see you out, can we buy you a drink? What’s your poison?
Depending on the time of day, a nice spritz or a glass of red wine!
